DANCER HELPED TO SECURE DREAMS WITH PRINCE’S TRUST SUPPORT
A young dance entrepreneur, from Solihull, has secured funding from The Prince’s Trust to help her expand her business, Dc2 Entertainment and Dance Company.
Danni Cash, artistic director and choreographer of Dc2 Entertainment, which provides quality dance performances for all type of events from awards ceremonies and flash mobs to private functions and weddings, received a financial donation from the Trust which will help provide new costumes for her team of dancers and help with ongoing business costs.
Danni started the dance company in January 2019, and it has been hit hard during the Covid-19 pandemic due to large venues being closed and the limited number of people being able to gather. However, this hasn’t stopped Danni and her team of dancers who have launched a series of online videos to showcase the teams’ talents and dance skills and have also been part of a new hip hop music video from an up and coming artist, which is due to launch later this year.
Danni commented: “Covid-19 has affected so many businesses, however we are staying positive and working on strengthening our offering via socially distanced training, creating new online content and looking at how we can maximise every opportunity.
I’m extremely grateful for the funding and the ongoing support I receive from The Prince's Trust. The Trust has provided me with access to a number of business mentors, who have a wealth of experience and this is really helping me drive my business forward. We really are going to do amazing things off the back of this support and my dream continues to be creating memorable moments for people that last a lifetime. As a professional dancer myself, I know how hard it is to get work at the best of times and I want to create opportunities for dancers and help them be the best they can be in in this industry and also work with established venues and provide top level entertainment.”
The Prince’s Trust has also provided Danni with access to a number of business workshops on marketing and finances, regular advice and ongoing contact.
Liz Whitfield, Danni’s mentor from The Prince’s Trust, commented: “It is a pleasure to be working with Danni and helping her develop her dance company. She is a very ambitious individual, and it is great to see her supporting so many dancers and want to give back to an industry she loves so much.”

About The Prince’s Trust
Youth charity The Prince’s Trust helps young people to develop the confidence and skills they need to realise their ambitions, so that they can live, learn and earn. Founded by The Prince of Wales in 1976, the charity supports 11 to 30-year-olds who are unemployed, struggling at school and at risk of exclusion.
Many of the young people helped by The Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness, mental health problems, or have been in trouble with the law.
The programmes offered by the charity give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work. Three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust move into work, education or training.
The Trust has helped over 1 million young people to date and supports over 100 more each day. Further information about The Prince’s Trust is available at princes-trust.org.uk or on 0800 842 842
